Celtic have confirmed they will face Benfica in a friendly in Toronto on September 2.

Celtic have confirmed they will face Benfica in a friendly in Toronto on September 2.

Tony Mowbray will take a weakened squad to face the Portuguese side as many members of his first team will be on international duty.

The match will take place at the BMO Field – home of Mo Johnston’s Toronto FC - as part of the annual Canadian National Exhibition.
