Striker eyes Celtic switch

Le Havre striker Amadou Alassane is hoping to win a move to Celtic after being offered a trial with the Glasgow giants.

The 26-year-old arrived in Scotland on Wednesday night and will have a week to impress Hoops boss Tony Mowbray.

The Celtic manager has already signed Marc-Antoine Fortune in a deal reported to be worth £3.8m, as well as recruiting Landry N’Guemo on a season-long loan from Nancy.

“I am in Scotland to begin a trial with Celtic,” confirmed Alassane.

“I don’t know what will happen but I do know it’s a fantastic opportunity for me to show a great club what I can do and I want to leave here with no regrets.”
