Hughes confirms Adebayor interest

Manchester City boss Mark Hughes today confirmed that the club had spoken to Arsenal over the possibility of signing Togo frontman Emmanuel Adebayor.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference to unveil new signing Carlos Tevez, the City boss said: “I think there’s been discussions between ourselves and Arsenal but, as is my usual response about players that we haven’t signed, really it’s not the right time or place to discuss that," said Hughes.
