Rovers' return for Rice

Stephen Rice returns from suspension as Shamrock Rovers travel to the Carlisle Grounds to take on Bray Wanderers tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.

Rovers may have to plan without Darragh Maguire (knee), Stephan Bradley (heel) and Sean O'Connor (ankle).

Hoops boss Michael O'Neill said: "Darragh is still struggling, but might be able to play in Bray. The same goes for Stephen and Sean, while there's a slight doubt about Ollie Cahill."

"(Bray) are very much our bogey team so far this season. We were very disappointed to lose against them at home. but we haven't lost a game since, which shows how well the players reacted to that result.

"We know it'll be a tough game. They were a little unfortunate to lose 3-1 to Bohemians last week. They're a young, hungry and enthusiastic team - but we'll be going there looking for three points."

Wanderers must plan without injured pair Chris Deans and Colm Tresson, while Chris Shields is serving a suspension so will also miss out.

There are also doubts about Gareth Coughlan and Gary McCabe, so no decision on their availability will be made until just before kick-off.

Gormley said: "Once again it will be a tough assignment and it will be another difficult night for us.

"I still have great faith in my group of young lads and I hope they can show everyone just how committed they are on Friday night.”
