Gamble returns for Leesiders

Galway United and Cork City go head-to-head in tonight's eircom League of Ireland Premier Division clash at Terryland Park.

United will be without Dave Cooke as he is serving a suspension, while Sean Kelly is unavailable as he is on loan from Cork.

Derek O'Brien is also unlikely to start as he is struggling with a hamstring injury.

For City, Joe Gamble returns from a knee injury, but Robert Mezeckis and Billy Dennehy remain sidelined.

Davin O’Neill has returned to training but is still some way off full fitness and is unlikely to feature.

Shane Duggan will miss out because of suspension, while Timmy Kiely has picked up a knock on his ankle, but is likely to be available if required.

City boss Paul Doolin said: “Galway got off to a flyer this season, and they have had some very good results over the course of the season so far, so they will be difficult opponents for us.

"I was looking at our game against Galway in Turner’s Cross in April last night, and we were excellent in the first half in that one, while they caused us problems in the second half.

"We have trained well this week and the main thing for us is to get a result.”
