Cork lose out to Dundalk
Cork City 1 Dundalk 2
Cork slumped to a third league defeat in four games as their off-the-field problems appear to be having an affect on the pitch.
Dundalk went in front on 35 minutes when Chris Turner shot home a penalty after Cork keeper Dan Connor brought down striker Declan O’Brien.
Four minutes later Cork had midfielder Shane Duggan sent off.
And it got no better for Paul Doolin’s Leesiders as they fell further behind on 44 minutes when Michael Daly doubled the visitors' lead.
Denis Behan got a goal back for Cork on 82 minutes, but, despite seven minutes of added time, Dundalk held out for a big win.
