Arsenal have today completed the signing of Belgium defender Thomas Vermaelen from Ajax.

Arsenal have today completed the signing of Belgium defender Thomas Vermaelen from Ajax.

Vermaelen, 23, joined Ajax in 2004 and has made more than 100 appearances for the Dutch club.
