Gormley looking for improved performance

Bray Wanderers will be confident of progressing into the next round of this season’s FAI Ford Cup as they welcome non-league side Bluebell United to the Carlisle Grounds, kick-off 7.45pm.

Wanderers boss Eddie Gormley has almost a full squad to pick from for tonight’s clash with the Leinster Senior League side.

The only absentee is Chris Deans who serves a suspension for his sending off against Drogheda.

Gormley welcomes back Paddy Kavanagh into the squad after the tricky midfielder missed the last two games with a hamstring injury.

The Bray manager said: "Last Friday we looked jaded following two good results, a draw against St Patrick's Athletic, followed by a win against Sligo Rovers.

“It’s a big ask for part-timers to play three games in seven days, especially when you have a small squad.

"I'll be looking for a much improved performance on Friday and a good result.”
