Rodgers in at Reading

Reading have confirmed the appointment of Brendan Rodgers as the club’s new manager.

The Royals have paid “substantial” compensation to Rodgers’ former club Watford after handing the 36-year-old a three-year deal at the Madejski Stadium.

Rodgers takes over from Steve Coppell, who quit the Coca-Cola Championship outfit at the end of the season.
