The pressure mounts on Dundalk boss Sean Connor after his side slumped to a third defeat which sees them drop to second bottom of the table.

Dundalk hit the post before Gary Twigg lobbed Chris Bennion to give Rovers a 36th minute lead.

Michael Daly equalised on 67 minutes when tapping home Darren Mansaram’s cross.

Dundalk finished strongly but were hit by a sucker punch on 88 minutes when bad defending allowed Twigg get his head to Stephen Rice’s long throw to loop the ball over Bennion.

Dessie Baker added a third goal a minute into stoppage time when lobbing Bennion once more from the edge of the area.
