Gareth McGlynn scored the only goal of the game at the Brandywell as Derry kept a third clean sheet in a row to stay on the title charge.

Stephen Kenn's Foylesiders had much of the possession but didn’t break Saints down until the 75th minute.

Defender Steven Gray got free down the left to cross low into the middle where midfielder McGlynn arrived to shoot past Gary Rogers.

The win moves Derry to within a point of second-placed Cork and four behind leaders Bohemians.
