Pollitt agrees new deal

Wigan goalkeeper Mike Pollitt has agreed terms on a new 12-month contract at the JJB Stadium.

Pollitt, 37, is keen to prolong his career even though he has been on the fringes of the first team.

He told the Evening Post: “I’ve agreed a contract, now it’s just a case of getting it signed. I’m hoping it can all be done before I go away on holiday.

“It wasn’t a difficult decision to make, it probably took all of 30 seconds. Of course I would have liked to have played a few more games but it’s still good to be involved in the squad.
