Rooney back, Tevez out for United
Wayne Rooney has returned to the Manchester United starting line-up but there is no place for Carlos Tevez as the Red Devils looked to move within a point of the Premier League title by beating Wigan.
While Tevez is upset at his lack of opportunities, Rooney only made the bench for Sunday’s win over Manchester City.
However, the England international was back tonight, taking his place in a strikeforce which also includs Cristiano Ronaldo.
Wigan: Kingson, Melchiot, Boyce, Bramble, Figueroa, Valencia, Cattermole, Scharner, Brown, N’Zogbia, Rodallega.
Subs: Pollitt, Edman, Watson, Koumas, De Ridder, Mido, Kapo.
Man Utd: Van der Sar, O’Shea, Vidic, Evans, Evra, Carrick, Scholes, Anderson, Ronaldo, Berbatov, Rooney.
Subs: Kuszczak, Neville, Giggs, Park, Nani, Rafael Da Silva, Tevez.
