Jeff Kenna’s tenure as St Patrick’s Athletic boss hangs by a thread after his side suffered an embarrassing seventh defeat in eight games tonight.

It was the fourth time this season Saints have conceded three goals in a league match as they finished with 10 men.

It was another big win for in-form Cork however who move level on points with leaders and champions Bohemians at the top after what was their seventh win in eight games.

The game was all but over by half-time, as Cork were 3-0 up.

Shocking defending from early corners cost Saints dearly as Denis Behan pounced on a mistake by keeper Gary Rogers, who spilled Colin Healy’s delivery, to tap home the opener on 14 minutes.

Four minutes later the marking was poor as Greg O’Halloran headed home another Healy corner.

Faz Kuduzovic then raced clear to round Rogers and slide home the third on 33 minutes.

Within five minutes, Saints were down to 10 men as experienced midfielder Stuart Byrne was shown a straight red card for a bad tackle on Kuduzovic.
