Dane Massey capped a man-of-the-match display with the only goal of the game at Tallaght Stadium today.

It was a night to forget for out-of-sorts Rovers, whose six-match unbeaten run came to an end.

Massey struck on 55 minutes when shooting home off a post from close range after Derek Foran headed Paddy Kavanagh’s corner back across goal.

It was a deserved win for Eddie Gormely’s young side and lifts them two places out of the relegation zone.
