Heynckes in for sacked Klinsmann

Jupp Heynckes has been given the chance to win his third Bundesliga title as coach of Bayern Munich after being appointed as the club’s caretaker coach following the dismissal of Jurgen Klinsmann today.

Klinsmann’s 10-month reign in charge of the defending league champions and DFB-Pokal holders was brought to an end today after a meeting with club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, general manager Uli Hoeness and director Karl Hopfner.
