Drogheda United v Sligo Rovers

Drogheda United are still looking for their first league win of the season and they will be hoping to record it tonight when they take on Sligo Rovers at United Park, kick-off 7.45pm.

Robbie Martin and Shane Barrett are out with hamstring injuries, while Robbie Farrell (knee) and John Paul Kelly (ankle) are also missing.

Robbie Clarke should be fit enough to play having missed the St Pat’s game due to injury.

Alan McNally should be fit to start for Alan Mathews’ side, although William Woods is out with a groin injury.

Mathews said: “I’m not concerned with our league position at this stage. There’s too much football to be played.

”Sligo are a good team, there’s no doubt about that, and we know that we need to apply ourselves from the very first whistle if we’re to get anything out of the match. We’re quite capable though of getting the three points, and we’re confident we can.”

Rovers travel to United Park with the same injury list that has haunted them for weeks with Mauro Almeida and Chris Butler still ruled out.

Conor O’Grady is a major injury doubt as he is struggling with a dead leg.
