Daniel Cousin remains doubtful for Hull's crucial Premier League clash at Middlesbrough tomorrow but George Boateng could face his former club.

Former Rangers striker Cousin has missed the last three games with a back injury and Hull are awaiting the results of an assessment before determining his fitness.

Midfielder Boateng is more likely to make his comeback after three months out with a knee injury. Manager Phil Brown has earmarked the Dutchman for a place on the bench.

Hull have no new injuries but Jimmy Bullard (knee) and Anthony Gardner (back) remain out long term.

Provisional squad: Duke, Ricketts, Turner, Zayatte, Dawson, Mendy, Ashbee, Barmby, Geovanni, Fagan, Manucho, Garcia, Boateng, Halmosi, Folan, Marney, Featherstone, Doyle, Hughes, France, Cousin, Kilbane, Myhill.
