Arsenal hope leading scorer Robin van Persie (groin) and winger Samir Nasri (virus) will be fit to travel to Spain for tomorrow’s Champions League quarter-final, first leg against Villarreal.

Winger Theo Walcott (knee) is expected to be available but midfielder Andrey Arshavin is ineligible having played for Zenit St Petersburg during the group stages.

Striker Eduardo (groin) and midfielder Abou Diaby (thigh) remain sidelined, while long-term absentee Tomas Rosicky continues his recovery.
