Villarreal will welcome back key midfielder Marcos Senna for Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Arsenal.

Senna was forced to sit out yesterday’s 3-0 Primera Liga defeat to Almeria after suffering an ankle injury while playing for Spain in their midweek World Cup qualifier against Turkey in Istanbul.

Also joining Senna in a 19-man squad for the quarter-final first leg against Arsenal at El Madrigal is midfielder Cani, who missed this weekend’s league game due to a leg injury.

Coach Manuel Pellegrini must do without Santi Cazorla though after the Spain international sustained a fractured fibula against Almeria that has ended his season, while youngster Bruno Soriano is also unavailable due to injury.
