Suspended duo back for City
Cork City travel to Dalymount Park to take on Bohemians in tonight’s televised fixture, kick-off 7.35pm.
City go into the game on the back of a 2-1 win over Bray Wanderers at Turner’s Cross last Friday night, with Latvian striker Guntars Silagailis scoring twice to take his tally to three goals in two games.
Pat Sullivan and Shane Duggan both return from suspension for Cork, although Latvian central defender Robert Mezeckis will not feature.
Stephen O’Donnell remains a long-term absentee.
Boss Paul Doolin said: “Bohs go into the game in good form with three wins and a draw so far, but to be fair to us, we have been playing well also.
“We are looking forward to the game, Dalymount Park is a good place to play, so hopefully it will be a good game and hopefully we can get a good result.”
Gary Deegan is missing for Bohs as he serves the first match of a three-game ban.
Neale Fenn is also out as he has a calf injury, although in defence, Mark Rossiter returns from his one-game suspension.
Bohemians Manager Pat Fenlon said:” Cork are a very decent team. Over the years in the league they have been one of the most consistent sides.
“They have lost a few players in the off season but they have managed to bring in one or two as well.
“They have probably been a bit unlucky to lose the games they did but I don’t think they will be too far away from the top when it matters the
most.
“I believe that this is a game we can win. Despite the win last week, the performance left a lot to be desired. We need to raise our standards again and try to reach the level we played at against Rovers."
