Scots trail by two at half time

Goals from Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Robin van Persie gave Holland the interval lead in their World Cup qualifier against Scotland in the Amsterdam ArenA.

The Scots were made to pay for the chance Kenny Miller spurned early on when Real Madrid striker Huntelaar got in behind Gary Caldwell to head in a Mark van Bommel cross from close range.

The goal sapped Scotland’s confidence and it looked a long way back at the interval as Holland tightened their grip on the game with a van Persie header from an Arjen Robben corner right on half-time.
