Ten-man Derry stun Rovers to win

Derry City came from behind with ten men to deprive Shamrock Rovers a second big home win at Tallaght Stadium.

Rovers' skipper Shane Robinson missed a penalty on 20 mintes, shooting wide after Dessie Baker had been taken down.

Derry then had defender Clive Delaney sent off right on half-time for a second booking.

Baker volleyed Rovers in front on 66 minutes and they looked good for another home win before a packed house.

But Thomas Stewart levelled seven minutes later with a header from a corner.

Ciaran Martyn, who also scored late on in last week’s win over Cork, then hit the winner on 86 minutes when shooting home a loose ball from the edge of the box.
