St Patrick’s Athletic v Dundalk

St Patrick’s Athletic boss Jeff Kenna wants his team to bring their away form to Richmond Park tonight as they take on Dundalk in the League of Ireland Premier Division, kick-off 7.45pm.

The Saints boss has presided over two impressive away victories over Cork City and Sligo Rovers in the last two series of games and is looking for more of the same in Inchicore.

Kenna said: “We’ve had two back to back wins on the road and it’s up to us now to put on a performance for the home fans after the disappointment of the Galway game.”

Saints welcome back Damian Lynch and Glenn Fitzpatrick from suspension but will have to do without John Lester who serves a one-match ban.

Also out are long-term injury victims Stephen Maher and Brendan Clarke.

Garreth O’Connor is also ruled out after picking up a thigh strain in Sligo and is expected to be out for a minimum of two weeks.

Last season’s top scorer Mark Quigley played for half an hour in Sligo and could be set to return to the starting eleven.

Dundalk have no injury worries for the game. Liam Burns was taken off early in the second half against Drogheda as a precaution after taking a slight knock but has trained fully all week.

Simon Kelly returns following a one-match suspension.

There is still no resolution with regards to Michael Collins’ availability. That issue is still with FIFA and Dundalk remain hopeful for a positive outcome in the near future.

Dundalk boss Sean Connor said: “It’s going to be a very tough match. We have everybody fit and Simon Kelly will be pushing for a place back in the side after his suspension.”
