Ashbee ruled out

Hull captain Ian Ashbee has been ruled out of Sunday’s Barclays Premier League trip to Wigan due to a hamstring injury picked up in Tuesday’s controversial FA Cup defeat at Arsenal.

The Tigers midfield will, however, be boosted by the return of Kevin Kilbane - who could also slot in at left-back – and Dean Marney who were cup-tied and suspended respectively against the Gunners.

Centre-backs Michael Turner and Anthony Gardner were both forced to sit out training today and are rated 50/50, while midfielders Jimmy Bullard and George Boateng (both knee) are long-term absentees.
