Gordon in plea to Burley

Craig Gordon has told Scotland manager George Burley he is ready to face Holland in next week’s World Cup qualifier despite his lack of first-team action.

The goalkeeper has been unable to reclaim his place in the Sunderland side following his return from an ankle injury and has played just one senior game since November.
