Gordon Strachan is adamant Celtic’s Co-operative Insurance Cup final success against Rangers will have no bearing on the destiny of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League title.

Strachan masterminded the Hoops’ first Old Firm derby cup final win for 20 years yesterday to claim the first major silverware of the season.
