Fenlon facing Ndo dilemma
Bohemians manager Pat Fenlon has admitted that he is unsure where to play new signing Joseph Ndo in his team.
Even though the former Cameroon international played the full 90 minutes and scored the winning goal against Dundalk last week, Fenlon knows he needs to find a place in his starting XI for the talented player.
Having previously worked together at Shelbourne, the experienced manager knows exactly what Ndo is capable of, but it is just a case of getting the balance right in his team selection.
Bohs started Friday’s clash with Ndo on the right side of a midfield that also contained Paul Keegan, Glenn Cronin, and Killian Brennan. However, it wasn’t until Ndo switched to a striking position that he really had an impact.
“It’s a challenge working out where to play Joseph (Ndo) and trying to get him into the team,” said Fenlon.
“You know when he’s in the team he gives us different things. We could have played him or Gary Deegan in the centre of midfield but I just thought it was going to be one of those games where we needed to dig in.
“He hasn’t really done a lot of training and his fitness levels probably need to improve, but I thought he did well.”
Bohemians play host to Derry City on Friday evening and Fenlon might be forced to play Ndo on the right wing again due to a stack of injuries piling up for the league champions.
