Sligo rescue point against Cork City

Stephen Parkhouse was Sligo’s supersub as they deservedly salvaged a point in a game that only came alive in the final five minutes at the Showgrounds tonight.

Billy Dennehy appeared to have snatched all three points when giving Cork an 86th minute lead against the run of play.

Sligo defender Shaun Holmes’ misplaced pass was latched onto by Pat Sullivan and his cross was drilled home by Dennehy.

But Rovers hit back a minute from time.

Brian Cash fed Romuald Boco on the right and his cross was brilliantly controlled by substitute Parhouse before he calmly sidefooted home from ten yards.
