Bohs earn win over stubborn Dundalk

Dundalk 0 Bohemians 1

Joseph Ndo marked his Bohemians debut with a super second-half goal as the champions got the defence of their title off to a winning start at Oriel Park.

The ex-Cameroon international struck to win it on 72 minutes when getting on the end of skipper Owen Heary’s long diagonal ball to rise well and head past Chris Bennion.

Dundalk started the better in front of a full house with Liam Burns heading wide before Michael Daly looped a header from a George O’Callaghan free kick onto the bar on 22 minutes.

Bohs’ only sniff of a chance in the first half came on 38 minutes when Anto Murphy shot weakly at Bennion.
