Kenna to take on former team

St Patrick's Athletic entertain Galway United at Richmond Park, a clash that sees new Saints boss Jeff Kenna coming up against his former employers (kick-off 7.45pm).

Jonathan Keane and John Russell are both sidelined for Galway, while Jason Molloy serves a one-match ban.

Kenna will have to plan without the services of Gary Dempsey, Jamie Harris and Dave Partridge who are suspended.

He will also be without goalkeeper Brendan Clarke who is out injured with a broken fifth metatarsal in his foot.

Jason Gavin is a major doubt for the game and will undergo a late fitness test ahead of the game.

Kenna said: “I think we will have 13 senior players for the game on Friday which is not ideal.

“Anthony Costigan and Stephen Fitzpatrick who have been training with the squad could well be promoted to the squad.”

However, former Bournemouth midfielder Gareth O'Connor and former Derry City player Kyle Moran both signed for Pat’s on Thursday, which should give Kenna some more options for the visit of Galway.
