Allardyce brings back big guns

Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce reverted to a familiar line-up as he aimed to outsmart his former assistant Phil Brown at Hull this afternoon.

Allardyce changed his entire team at Coventry in midweek but had the likes of Roque Santa Cruz and Morten Gamst Pedersen back for the crucial Barclays Premier League clash at the KC Stadium.

David Dunn was a notable absentee, however, after failing to overcome a hamstring injury.

Hull captain Ian Ashbee passed a fitness test on his calf to return while Brown also restored Brazilian Geovanni in attack after missing the last two games.
