Milan: No Beckham ultimatum

David Beckham will get his first taste of a Milan derby tomorrow and Carlo Ancelotti still hopes it will be the first of many for the England midfielder.

Beckham’s loan deal at Milan is set to come to an end on March 9 and although the Serie A club are in negotiations to make his stay at the San Siro permanent, their hopes of doing so appeared to have evaporated when Los Angeles Galaxy coach Bruce Arena insisted he had to return to the USA after the Italians failed to agree a deal before last night’s deadline.
