Scots wanted Aussie McDonald

Celtic striker Scott McDonald has revealed how he was approached by both Berti Vogts and Walter Smith about playing for Scotland.

McDonald, now 25, had represented his native Australia at both U17 and U20 level but was eligible to switch allegiance because of his Scottish parents.
