Kirkland could return for Wigan

Goalkeeper Chris Kirkland has a chance of returning to Wigan’s squad for their Premier League match at Aston Villa tomorrow.

The England international missed the midweek draw with former club Liverpool because of a back injury and manager Steve Bruce will make a late decision on whether to select him.

Winger Antonio Valencia remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
