FAI rejects Cobh Ramblers’ stadium proposal

The board of the FAI has rejected Cobh Ramblers' proposal for a sale-and-leaseback arrangement in relation to St Colman’s Park.

A statement from the association says it is unable to provide financial assistance to any single club involved in the League of Ireland that would assist it in obtaining a license.

Ramblers members voted earlier this month to support the plan, which proposed that the FAI buy the ground for a 10-year period and lease it back to the club.
