Mark Brown was drafted into the Celtic team half an hour before kick-off in their Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash at Pittodrie after Artur Boruc was injured in the warm-up.

Under-fire goalkeeper Boruc suffered a groin injury to force the sixth change in Gordon Strachan’s starting line-up.

Georgios Samaras, Gary Caldwell, Andreas Hinkel, Paul Hartley and Barry Robson all returned following the cup win over Dundee as Celtic looked to extend their lead at the top of the SPL to five points.

Aberdeen boss Jimmy Calderwood made only one change to the side that won at Kilmarnock in midweek with Stuart Duff coming in for Andrew Considine.

The Dons were looking for their sixth consecutive victory at Pittodrie.
