Hughes: Kaka deal still on
Manchester City manager Mark Hughes has said he could still sign AC Milan midfielder Kaka.
Reports from the United Arab Emirates this morning claimed the deal for the Brazilian was off despite reports of a £100m bid from City who are also said to be willing to pay the player £500,000 a week.
Arabianbusiness.com – who broke the story of the Manchester City takeover by Sheikh Mansour, who is from the UAE – reported they had been told by a senior source that the deal is off.
That contradicted comments from Hughes assistant, Mark Bowen, who said a deal was “very close”.
And Hughes told a press conference this morning that the club was still trying to recruit Kaka.
