Sinclair joins Blues

Birmingham have signed winger Scott Sinclair on loan from Chelsea on an initial one-month deal.

The 19-year-old has already established himself as one of the most exciting attacking players of his age having enjoyed previous loan spells at Plymouth, QPR, Charlton and Crystal Palace over the last two years.

He has made four appearances so far this season for Luiz Felipe Scolari’s outfit, including a late cameo in the 1-0 Premier League defeat by Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

His arrival comes only a day after Blues boss Alex McLeish opted not to extend Quincy Owusu-Abeyie’s loan stay at St Andrew’s, leaving him free to go in search of other targets.

England U19 international Sinclair is expected to make his debut in Saturday’s Coca-Cola Championship clash against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.
