Stoke chairman Peter Coates has reiterated his determination to strengthen the club’s playing staff during the transfer window.

The Potters are looking to ensure they have a sufficiently strong squad for the rest of the season.

Stoke have dropped into the Barclays Premier League relegation zone and manager Tony Pulis is seeking new recruits to improve his team’s survival chances.

“We’ve got a few things on the go,” Coates told BBC Radio Stoke.

“I think Tony Pulis would like about three players, but I don’t want to give too much away.

“I do know we’ll have a stronger squad at the end of January than what we have now.”
