Manchester United were finding it difficult to break Stoke down at the Britannia Stadium and the sides went in level at the break after a goalless first half.

After travelling back from Japan on Monday, the Club World Champions looked jaded.

Stoke were well organised and if anything shaded the first 45 minutes in front of their partisan fans.
