Bruce welcomes back duo

Wigan boss Steve Bruce welcomes back Emmerson Boyce and Mario Melchiot for Saturday’s crucial Premier League clash with West Brom at the JJB Stadium.

Both defenders trained yesterday after suspension and injury respectively, giving Bruce a selection headache after Ryan Taylor’s fine performance as stand-in right-back against Everton on Monday.

Striker Amr Zaki is again absent because of a calf strain, with Bruce confirming Henri Camara will be given the chance to build on his match-winning exploits on Monday with a rare start.

Emile Heskey has reported no after-effects to his long-standing hamstring problem and will again skipper the side if Melchiot is not recalled.
