St Patrick's Athletic midfielder Keith Fahey was named PFAI Premier Division Player of the Year last night at the association's annual awards ceremony.

St Patrick's Athletic midfielder Keith Fahey was named PFAI Premier Division Player of the Year last night at the association's annual awards ceremony.

Fahey held off competition from team-mate Mark Quigley and Bohs trio Owen Heary, Glen Crowe and Killian Brennan, along with a number of other players.

Elsewhere, David Cassidy of Dundalk claimed the First Division Player of the Year award to add to his First Dvision winners’ medal.

Niall McGinn of Derry City was chosen by his fellow professionals as the Young Player of the Year.
