Trapattoni: Players must be happy to play or not

Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni insists his players must be happy whether they are playing or not.

The Italian has sparked a national debate over his decision not to field Sunderland midfielder Andy Reid at all during his reign to date, while Bolton’s Joey O’Brien has admitted he could follow Stephen Ireland in declaring himself unavailable for his country after being similarly under-employed.
