Cahill joins Barrett on Drogs' injured list
Drogheda United will finish what has been a hectic season when they welcome St Patrick's Athletic to United Park tonight, kick-off 7.35pm.
Pat's must plan without Bobby Ryan (knee), Stephen Paisley ( groin strain), Gary O’Neill (groin strain) and John Murphy (back).
Jamie Harris is likely to miss out with a damaged ankle, while Gary Dempsey remains suspended pending a club enquiry.
Drogheda boss Paul Doolin is missing goalkeepers Jamie Ewings and Dan Connor, while Ollie Cahill joins Shane Barrett on the injured list.
Midfielder Shane Robinson is missing through suspension, following his sending off at the Carlisle Grounds last week.
Doolin said: "We'll be working off pretty much the same panel of players as last week, though we'll be without Shane (Robinson) who's suspended and Ollie (Cahill) who picked up a knock before the Bray game last week."
Doolin also spoke of the trouble the club have faced this season, in attempting to defend their Premier Division title.
He said: "It seems like it's just been one thing after another, ever since pre-season. But it's not from lack of work or effort from the players or staff at the club.
"There's been a number of incidents, many of them well-documented in the press, that have made our jobs very difficult. But we've one game to go so we've got to give everything and hope to finish the season with a win."
