Galway Utd and Harps battle to avoid drop

Galway United entertain Finn Harps at Terryland Park tonight with both sides fighting to avoid the drop, kick-off 7.45pm.

Galway United boss Jeff Kenna has a full squad to choose from for tonight's game.

He said: "Despite Sunday's defeat (to Derry) we are still in a strong position to avoid the drop. Our fate is in our own hands. Two wins in the last two games should see us safe from relegation.

"The players know that the game is the most important they will play this season and they will be putting their bodies on the line to ensure we get the result we need. Our recent eight-game unbeaten run shows that we have the quality to finish this season strongly."

For Harps, Marc Mukendi sits the game out as he serves a one-game suspension.

However, Shaun McGowan returns after serving a one match ban.

Davy Byrne (thigh) and Aaron Labonte (knee) are doubtful, while Cornelius Gallagher remains a long-term absentee.
