Petrov, Milner doubts for Villa

Aston Villa have doubts over midfielder Stiliyan Petrov and winger James Milner for Sunday’s home clash against Middlesbrough.

Petrov has a hamstring strain that also ruled him out of Monday’s 2-0 defeat at Newcastle and Thursday night’s UEFA Cup victory away to Slavia Prague while England Under-21 international Milner suffered a blow to his side against Newcastle.

Goalkeeper Brad Friedel, full-back Luke Young, central defender Martin Laursen and midfielders Gareth Barry and Nigel Reo-Coker are all set to return to the starting line-up after being rested for the European match.
