Bray dump Cobh into relegation battle

Gary Cronin secured Bray's Premier Division future to leave Cobh still in the relegation mire in this rollercoaster clash at the Carlisle Grounds.

Bray started well and had the lead within ten minutes when Paddy Kavanagh got the ball into the six yard area where Aidan O'Keeffe arrived to shoot past Anthony Fennelly.

Cobh's suspect defence was breached again on 23 minutes when Ger Rowe put O'Keeffe in behind and he raced through to shoot home his second.

Cobh hit back within a minute, though, when midfielder Greg O'Halloran drilled a shot in off a post from 20 yards.

Two minutes later Cobh were level when Davin O'Neill also scored with a shot from outside the box for his fifth goal in three games.

But left-back Cronin reacted quickest to fire home a rebound on 72 minutes to win it for Wanderers.
