The Republic of Ireland have missed out on qualification to the Women's Euro 2009 finals in Finland next year.

The Republic of Ireland have missed out on qualification to the Women's Euro 2009 finals in Finland next year.

Noel King's side lost 3-0 to Iceland last night in the second leg of their play-off.

The result consigned Ireland to a 4-1 aggregate defeat.
