Lovenkrands: I'd love Rangers return

Peter Lovenkrands has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Rangers in a bid to end his Schalke misery.

The Danish striker, 28, spent six years at Ibrox before moving to Germany in the summer of 2006.

But he has found himself frozen out by new coach Fred Rutten and is desperate to quit the club when the transfer window opens.

Lovenkrands said in 'The Sun': “There is no future for me at Schalke. Hopefully something will happen in January.

“There was a lot of talk about me returning to Rangers last summer.

“It didn’t happen, but I would love to go back there.

“Of course, if the opportunity arose again, I would be delighted.”
